১৬. Bengali is our mother tongue, our state language, and the language of our hearts. It is our fundamental duty to learn to write and read this language correctly. We should make efforts for the all-round development of this language. English is mostly used in the international level. ১৮. Bangladesh is a land of rivers. The rivers fall into the Bay of Bengal. Many towns, ports, and villages stand on both the sides of these rivers. In the rainy season, these rivers assume a terrible look but in winter they remain quite calm.

১৯. Black-marketing is a colossal crime against society. In our distressed conditions when we constantly face shortage of food and other essential commodities of life, a citizen who does black-marketing commits a greater crime than the biggest and the most grievous of all crimes. These black-marketers are really knowing, intelligent, and ordinarily responsible people. When they indulge in black-marketing, I think they ought to be severely punished, because they undermine the entire system of control.

২০. Bangladesh is now a free country. She suffered much during the last twenty-five years. But for her, the days of suffering are over. She is going to enter into an age of great prosperity. The golden land of Bangladesh will again be flowing with milk and honey.

২১. Bangladesh is the land of our birth. The blue sky and the air of this land are very dear to us. It is our duty to build up our dear Bangladesh. It is our sacred duty. If we do our respective duties, only then our country will make progress.

২২. Computer is the gift of modern science. It has helped our civilization to go a step further. It is now used in every sphere of our life. It has made our works easier and beautiful. But our opportunity to learn the art of using a computer is very limited.

২৩. Cricket is an international game. The World Cup cricket is arranged after every four years. ICC arranges the World Cup Cricket. Bangladesh entered into the World Cup Cricket arena in 1999. The achievement of Bangladesh in the last World Cup Cricket is really a matter to remember. The popularity of this game is increasing day by day.

২৬. Dishonest men may seem to prosper and go undetected but it is only for a short time. Dishonesty is sure to be detected in the long run and follow punishment and disgrace. Honesty is, therefore, the best policy.

২৭. Education is the backbone of a nation. No progress can be possible without education. Ignorances is like darkness. So the light of education is necessary for society. Everybody will have to appreciate this truth. Students must be conscious of their responsibility. Otherwise the nation will not be able to see the light of hope and prosperity.

২৮. Education is not only limited to schools, colleges and universities. We have learnt a lot from family, society and the whole world. Which we learn from our real experience of life is no less important than that we learn traditionally from schools and the colleges. Therefore, it can be said that education is a life long process. This education begings from our birth and ends with our death.

২৯. Flood is a natural calamity. Every year Bangladesh falls a victim to flood. During flood men and other animals suffer from miseries with beggar description. Crops are also damaged to a great extent. After flood various diseases like Diarrhoea and Cholera break out in an epidemic form. So, flood is a dangerous problem of our country. Government is trying to solve this problem.

৩০. God has not creatė us to eat, drink and be merry, but to earn bread by the sweat of our
brow. There should be no dearth of work in our country. When we have sixteen crores of living machines, why should we depened upon the dead ones? I saw that each of us must work eight hours a day. Nobody becomes a slave by working. Just as we do not become slaves of our parents at home when we carry out their instructions, so the question or savery should not arise at all when students work accoding to the direction of their teachers.
